Audio can be streamed via an HDMI capture device from a presenting computer to a host running our Quickshare software.


Presenting Computer

On the Presenting Computer, open the Sound settings, which can be accessed by right-clicking on the speaker icon in the system tray and selecting "Playback devices"


In the Sound settings window, navigate to the Properties for the connected HDMI capture device that you wish to stream audio to by selecting the Playback tab (if it is not already selected), selecting the HDMI capture device in the list, and clicking the Properties button below the list.


In the Playback Device Properties window, verify that the device usage is configured to "Use this device (enabled)" and click OK to close this window.


The Sound settings window should be visible again, click OK to close this window.


Host Computer

On the Host Computer, open the Sound settings, which can be accessed by right-clicking on the speaker icon in the system tray and selecting "Recording devices"


In the Sound settings window, navigate to the Properties for the connected HDMI capture device that you wish to stream audio for by selecting the Recording tab (if it is not already selected), selecting the HDMI capture device in the list, and clicking the Properties button below the list.


In the Microphone Properties window, select the Listen tab and then check the "Listen to this device" checkbox. Verify that the audio will be played through the "Default Playback Device" and click OK to close this window.


The Sound settings window should be visible again, click OK to close this window.
