1) Introduction

The Quicklaunch Meeting Manager is a User Friendly interface for controlling meetings. Quicklaunch currently supports this mode with Skype For Business (Skype4B) only.

Along the bottom of the screen are controls for the User's Camera, Mic, Speakers, and an Option to Exit the Meeting. There are also three tabs at the top of the screen

Participants - invite, remove, mute, make presenter, view status

Conversation - view the conversation and any attachments uploaded to it

Share - share your desktop, connect a laptop to share, launch an Action Tile to auto share

2) Configuration

a) Enter Feature Key

b) Meeting Manager Settings

c) Customize Action Tiles

d) Enable Audio/Video

2a) Feature Key

A Feature Key is needed to enable the Meeting Manager. After you've received a Feature Key from Quicklaunch Support, enter it by following the steps below.

Select the License tab, followed by the edit button.

Now, enter your provided feature key into the Feature Key field. (NOTE: don't erase your License Key. It is needed in addition to the Feature Key)

Select Finish.

2b) Meeting Manager Settings

Enter Quicklaunch settings by pressing CTRL + Alt + S on your keyboard.

Navigate to Calendar > Call Managers

Launch on Meeting Joined - With this enabled, the Meeting Manager will launch whenever a Skype for business meeting is started (either via the Calendar or via a Meet Now Action Tile)

Auto Share Wired and Wireless Screens in Meeting - When an Action Tile is selected from the "Share" Tab in Meeting Manager, the screen the program is displayed on will automatically be shared. (see below to configure Action Tiles)

Custom Received Files Directory - Select where files should be saved. Shown is the default directory for sharing meeting files (see Group Email and Zip Meeting Files for more)

Display Rules - *Flat mode only* - Select what screen to send the Meeting Manger to (see Display Rules Overview for more).

NOTE: If a Tabbed display is configured, the Meeting Manager will appear within the Tabbed display by default.

2c) Customize Action Tiles

The Meeting Manager allows for Action Tiles to be placed under the Share Tab. By default there are three options displayed, but any Action Tile can be added to the group. The Meeting Manager can be configured to automatically share the screen which an Action Tile is launched on (enable "Auto Share Wired and Wireless Screens in Meeting)

Enter Settings by Selecting CTRL + ALT + S and Navigate to Actions > Actions and Select "Meeting Manager" from the dropdown menu. Any Action Tile can be added here (see our Guide on Action Tiles for more).

2d) Enable Audio/Video

The Meeting Manager uses settings already configured for Calendar events and Action Tiles. The example shown below is for a Calendar Event. A Meet Now Action Tile is configured in a similar way.

To start Skype4B with video on or audio on, follow these steps:

  1. Go to settings Ctrl-Alt-S
  2. Click on calendar, then meetings.
  3. Select your meeting provider that uses the Skype for Business (Skype4B) Thick Client.
  4. Choose to Start with Video and Audio

3) Known Deficiencies

  • cannot enter Meeting Manager when receiving a call
