Quicklaunch UE now has the ability to start a program or launch a batch file when certain events occur within Quicklaunch. This new functionality can be leveraged by executing batch files or programs on specific Quicklaunch events. For example, on the Meeting Start event a program can be executed that can power on monitors when the user clicks Join Now on a calendar item or alternately can start a program after the Room Reset is triggered.
Supported Quicklaunch Events

Quicklaunch Closing | This event is triggered when Quicklaunch is closed |
Room Reset | This event is triggered when the Room Reset functionality is executed |
Meeting Details Link Clicked | This event is triggered when the user clicks on the meeting details link |
Book Room | This event is triggered when the user clicks Book Room |
Meeting Extended 5 minutes | This event is triggered when meeting is extended for 5 minutes |
Meeting Extended 15 minutes | This event is triggered when is extended for 15 minutes |
Meeting Extended 30 minutes | This event is triggered when is extended for 30 minutes |
Meeting Extended Any Length | This event is triggered when is extended |
Microphone Muted | This event is triggered when the user mutes microphone |
Microphone Unmuted | This event is triggered when the user unmutes microphone |
Speaker Muted | This event is triggered when the user mutes speakers |
Speaker Unmuted | This event is triggered when the user unmutes speakers |
Resource Warning | This event is triggered when the status of any resource shows warning status |
Meeting Start | This event is triggered when a meeting on the calendar begins |
Meeting End | This event is triggered when a meeting on the calendar ends |
Join Meeting | This event is triggered when the user clicks Join Now on a calendar entry |
Meet Now | This event is triggered when the user clicks the Meet Now action tile |
Resource Unavailable | This event is triggered when Resources are unavailable |
Internet Unavailable | This event is triggered when Internet is unavailable |
Exchange Unavailable | This event is triggered when Exchange is unavailable |
Interval | This event is triggered at a specific time |

Configuring an Event Handler
In Quicklaunch, open the Settings window by pressing Control+Alt+S on the keyboard and navigate to System > Events
Once here, click the '+' button to add a new Event Handler to the list.
Events handlers can be configured in the same way as Action tiles that launch a program, with the following fields:
Name | A descriptor that identifies the Event Handler in the list |
Event Type | The Quicklaunch Event that will trigger this Handler |
Program Path | Path to a program that will be launched when the Event occurs |
Startup Folder | If necessary, where the selected program should be executed from |
Arguments | Any additional values that should be passed to the program |
