Message Adapter provides a way to communicate over RS 232 and/or TCP/IP ports. This guide shows how to configure Message Adapter as an Action Tile and as an Event.

Message Adapter as an Action Tile
First, add the Message Adapter Action Tile to your desired location. The program path will not autodetect.
Click the windows icon on the right side of Program Path.
Select "Browse"
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\UC Workspace\Quicklaunch and search for "MessageAdapter".
Select the most recent version of Quicklaunch.MessageAdapter.exe
Message Adapter as an Event
Setting up Message Adapter as an Event is nearly the same as for an action tile, except for the first couple steps. You can add events here:
Select the event type in from the drop down list
Select the windows icon to the right of program path.
Select "Browse"
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\UC Workspace\Quicklaunch and search for "MessageAdapter".
