Introduction:

System Check-In is an Ultimate Edition only feature which provides the option for password protection of Quicklaunch after the screen saver has been displayed. 


NOTE: This feature is currently in beta testing with select customers. If you're interested in testing this feature, please contact <qlsupport@ucworkspace.com>. An Ultimate Edition License as well as active Maintenance is required to participate in beta testing.

1) Enable System Check-in

System Check In: Is located in Settings > Account > System Check-in.




2) Select Check-in Type

There are four ways to setup your System Check-in password:

  • Check-In Code:
    • This option allows you to create your own password. 
  • Exchange Web Services (EWS):
    • This Option allows you to enter your Exchange Information as your username and password to enter Quicklaunch. You can configure more domains in the Quicklaunch settings at Account > Login
  • Azure Active Directory:
    • This Option allows you to enter your domain account information to enter Quicklaunch. It also allows you to enter a Default Check-In Domain.
    • NOTE: The default domain and any domain you use to override must be setup by the IT staff 
  • On-Premises Active Directory:
    • This Option allows you to enter your domain account information to enter Quicklaunch. It also allows you to enter a Default Check-In Domain. 
    • NOTE: The default domain and any domain you use to override must be setup by the IT staff



3) Test Your Settings 

NOTE: Keep in mind that emails and passwords are case-sensitive.


Users are presented with the Quicklaunch Screen Saver.



When exiting the Quicklaunch screen saver, users will be presented with one of the following dialogs:

  • Exchange
  • Azure or On-Prem Active Directory: 
    • The default domain can be overridden with an appropriate domain configured by the customer.
  • Check-In Code
