As of March 15, 2019 in order to receive new Quicklaunch features and enhancements you will need to have current maintenance. Here are commonly asked questions about maintenance.
What is maintenance?
Quicklaunch Maintenance helps to protect and maximize a customer’s software investment. Maintenance offerings vary but typically include software enhancements, features and technical support programs, as well as other benefits. For customers to continue accessing these benefits, maintenance should be renewed according to how the software product is licensed.
Do I have to buy maintenance when I purchase a Quicklaunch license?
Maintenance is always included with your license purchase. Depending on your purchase you will receive between 1 and 3 years maintenance.
What does maintenance include?
Maintenance includes software enhancements, features and technical support programs, as well as other benefits.
What about Version 4 new features?
Yes maintenance will automatically include version 4 features. Note that version 4 new features are only available with the MSI build.
How do I know if my maintenance is up to date?
In Quicklaunch, go to settings, then the license page. The maintenance expiry date will be displayed. You can also visit our registration web site Quicklaunch Maintenance and Registration Website and enter your license key. This site will tell you your maintenance expiry date and renewal options.
Will Quicklaunch continue to work if my maintenance is not current?
Yes. Quicklaunch will continue to work just, as it always has, without current maintenance.
Will I get security updates if I don't have current maintenance?
Yes. Even if you do not have current maintenance we will continue to deliver security fixes after your maintenance has expired.
What happens if I need help and do not have current maintenance?
Please check this support site for many answers to common questions (including helpful videos). To obtain support please contact your reseller or visit the UC Workspace web site to purchase maintenance.
What happens if my maintenance expires?
If your maintenance expires, you will have 10 calendar days to purchase new maintenance.
**** NOTE **** To allow all our existing customers to get caught up with their maintenance, until May 1, 2019 you can back-purchase the time you have not been covered. For example: if your current maintenance expired on July 15, 2018, you will need to purchase at least 1 years maintenance to be current. You can purchase this maintenance up to May 1, 2019.
What happens if my maintenance expires and I am past the 10 calendar day renewal period?
If you want to continue to use Quicklaunch with any new features, enhancements, or support, you will be required to purchase a new license for Quicklaunch. Please contact your reseller or visit the UC Workspace web site to purchase a new license.
How do I see my maintenance purchase options?
Go to the website Quicklaunch Maintenance and Registration Website and enter your license key. Your maintenance renewal options will be displayed.
I purchased new Maintenance but my maintenance date is not updated
Try restarting Quicklaunch. If this does not work, it is likely that your system does not have access to our registration server. If this is the case, you will need to enter your maintenance key in the area provided in Quicklaunch, settings, license, general.
Why do you ask me to register?
We sometimes need to send information to our customers about important product updates or license changes. If you keep your registration information up to date you will not miss out!
How do I update my registration information?
If your Quicklaunch is connected to our registration servers, you can simply go to settings, license, registration and update the page. If you are not connected to our registration servers, please send us your license key and updated registration information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
