In Quicklaunch version 4.2.0.0 or higher Zoom OAuth credentials will need to be used instead of the username and password. The Quicklaunch Update utility can update Quicklaunch versions 4.1.703.0 and higher in advance of the 4.2.0.0 release.
Note: OAuth tokens are encrypted by the Quicklaunch Update utility.
Warning: Depending on your Zoom configurations you may need to pre-approve the Quicklaunch app on the Zoom Admin site.

1. Prepare existing Quicklaunch Installations
To prepare your existing installations for the upcoming change:
- Update to version 4.1.703.0 or higher
- Install Quicklaunch Digital Signage 4.0.1.0 or higher
2. Create Bulk Settings update files
Next, bulk create settings update files for all your rooms. Here is how you can do it:
- On any PC
- Download ZoomAuthLoginUtilityApp.zip
- Install Digital Signage 4.0.1.0 or higher from the Kramer Installer
- Unzip and Run ZoomOAuthLoginUtilityApp.exe app
Sign in to each Zoom account for existing installations using the following sign-in options:
- Username/password
- Apple
- SSO
Or, If you use SSO
- Enter your Vanity URL prefix
- Click Reload Login Page
- Now you will go directly to your SSO login for each sign in
- Export QLX files individually or in bulk for each room. Zoom Account user ID is used as a file name by default, it can be modified for your convenience (to better identify the room or machine that the file will be sent to).
- Push each individual QLX file into %programdata%\UC Workspace\Quicklaunch\Import folder on the corresponding installation machine
- Quicklaunch will silently update its configuration file on the next startup and will be ready for the coming update.
You can now enable automatic updates or push the new installer through SCCM. When Quicklaunch update 4.2.x..0 is published, Quicklaunch will silently update the Authentication method.

*** Warning*** This new OAuth method uses a single use Refresh Token. Signing into a zoom account through the ZoomAuthLoginUtilityApp or through Quicklaunch 4.2.xx.0 will invalidate all previous Refresh Tokens acquired for that account. Make sure to use the most recent token retrieved with the Utility as the update file you push to the import folder. Once Quicklaunch 4.2.xx.0 is updated it will automatically get new Refresh Tokens while running. Do not sign into a zoom account already signed in on a Quicklaunch 4.2.xx.0 installation either, in the Utility or on another Quicklaunch 4.2.xx.0 installation, as that will sign out the zoom account on the original Quicklaunch 4.2.xx.0 installation |
